Each fall we start prepping our bunkers for the next season. With a predicted amount of over 16,000 rounds this year, the high traffic areas get a lot of sand blasted out. Heavy rain events and our three times a week bunker machine can move sand to the low areas so we check the depths throughout the bunker, then move or add sand accordingly.
The edges get sand raked back up and packed as well.

The better you are at dumping the sand evenly the less bunker blade work and hand raking you have.
The finished product. The two bunkers on the left just needed sand pushed up from the bottom up to the top with the blade and hand raking. The bunker on the right took two full loads of sand. Seven down, 30 to go this fall!
