The Club's 3rd 100 Hole Challange

The Clubs 3rd 100 Hole Challenge in my 26 years had a very special meaning. Steve Booher and Ed Price took on the 100 Hole Hike to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and the Hammon family to help support Elliott's future health expenses.

This picture says it all and what a day it was! This was their 100th hole of the day and it ended at 5:25.  I get choked up just typing this.  It's hard to put it into words......but the support The Club and this community has given to Sue and I has been unbelievable, we are so, so grateful for the donations and everyones amazing support.

As I mentioned, playing 100 holes isn't new to The Club but here are my best pictures from Steve and Ed's 100 holes then keep reading about our other two members.

This is Ed hitting one practice shot out to the driving range from 1 tee, 5:07 am.

It was very exciting to have 9&10 News here.  They were doing a live broadcast every 20 minutes from 5:30 - 8:45 and it was from whereever the group was at that time.  They interviewed everyone involved at some point in the morning.

50 holes in by 11:30, time for lunch.  Caddie Aric Armbruster, Steve, Ed, Caddie Pat Schaffler.

Ed's phone had him at 56,050 step, about 27 miles for each of them, 14 birdies, four were chip ins, 13 caddies were on the bag and 8 forecaddies.  Thank you gentlemen, donors and volunteers, it was an honor to have you on the #ElliottStrong team.

June 2003!

Vinny Collins and I on 1 tee at 5:05 am back in June 2003.  Vinny was raising money for the new YMCA and collected $6,800.  I walked with him that morning a few holes, he carried his own clubs all day and ended up playing 118 holes!

Vinny was joined by Dave Rataj for I think 36 holes.

Of course best friend John Kuipers also played 36 of the 100 with Vinny.  Former member Denny Dejon also played with Vinny.

Local ESPN radio announcer Rick Coats was there before 5:00 am for a live interview of Andrew Chapman back in June 2014 for his 100 Hole Challenge.

Andrew was joined by his brother on the bag for a solid portion of the day.

Balls in the air by 5:15 am for Andrew.

Andrew on fifteen tee mid-morning.
