A New Tree on 15

Three weeks ago we cut down the dying Birch Tree on 15.  Last week we had the stump removed and today we planted a new Autumn Blaze Maple.  The tree spade made room for the new tree first.

The hole is cut and waiting for the tree to show up.

Here it is, fresh from a Kingsley nursery.  There are four Autumn Blaze Maples in the background.

It's not dead, most of the leaves blew off during the ride to it's new home even though it was wrapped in a mesh cover.  We planted it just east of the old Birch location.  When fully grow it will be about 50 feet wide.

Cross Country Update 12/18

With the loss of most of our beautiful snow, the cross country trails are closed until further notice.
