Tree Climbers

Last week I had our tree climbers come in to trim up the hanging limbs on three White pines that we couldn't reach with the portable lift.  The spotter is on the left and the tree climber is near the top.

His boots had these interesting side spikes to poke into the tree.

The trimming is the easy part, it's the climbing that is so physical and awkward.

Each limb that he trimmed out of the tree on 18 just got caught up on the way down to the ground.  So had to keep messing with each limb multiple times.

He is hard to see but he is up there, way up there.  It made my knees week just watching.
